Bio
A life-long Christian Scientist, I attended the Christian Science Sunday School in Grants Pass, Oregon. I joined The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, when I was in high school and a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, before I went to college (university). I am currently an active, participating member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in La Cañada Flintridge, California.
I have had primary class instruction from an authorized teacher of Christian Science. This 12-day course teaches how to be a Christian Science healer. I attend my teacher’s annual Association of Pupils meetings, which are one-day, post-graduate courses.
I earned a bachelor of science in physics from Principia College and a master of business administration from the University of California at Los Angeles. Prior to becoming a full-time Christian Science practitioner, I worked for the California Institute of Technology at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
My interests are broad. I enjoy gourmet cooking, reading, symphonic music, opera, “soft” adventure travel, supporting education for women, learning languages, and amateur radio (KI6NTH). Most of the books I read are current nonfiction titles reviewed in The Christian Science Monitor. I’m working on a life-goal to become fluent in Spanish. I studied German in college.
